August

In August, we got this nifty new device called Chromecast. Tyson being really into whats new in that whole world was super excited and he bought one the day they were released. I'm not going to lie, at first I didn't really get why we needed it, why we couldn't just continue to watch youtube and Netflix off our blu ray player... but then we got it and suddenly I understood. The chromecast (which you control from your tablet, phone... or I think laptop) plays all the videos you could want to watch at a WAY higher quality. It is also rad because you can control it from any device like that so it makes it super handy if you have multiple people wanting to show off their videos, each person can find it themselves and display it on the big screen.

I also got a new phone. My old phone was pretty much useless, it wasn't that old it honestly just kind of sucked, so we got me a Samsung Galaxy s3... and I am SO pleased. I couldn't be happier with my phone. YAY for having a working phone!!!

Lastly. Tyson cut off his beautiful long hair in order to donate to locks of love. I am so proud of him! I think that locks of love is an awesome organization and I think it is awesome that he did it. I am still, even more than a week later not quite used to his short hair, but it grows fast and I am sure in time I will be more used to it. All for a good cause!!! I love him!!!

July

July always starts off with a bang, literally, FIREWORKS! Independence Day has always been fun for me because I love fireworks so much! For the last several years I've given up on going and finding big shows and instead I've gone with putting on my own shows... okay so I have never actually lite a firework, because it freaks me out, but I watch the ones that Tyson does. I did however have a HUGE sparkler this year that was pretty rad!

Adriann and Dustin came down later in July, for a MAGIC THE GATHERING weekend. Haha, the 2014 Core set came out that weekend, and so we obviously had to get together and try out our cards from the new core set. We had so much fun building decks and playing games. It was such a fun time!

June

June was an awesome and busy month!

Tyson and I started off our month in beautiful Island Park and a beautiful cabin to celebrate our 3rd wedding anniversary. It is super crazy to me that we have been married for three years, time is weird that way, so slow and yet incredibly fast at the same time.
We had as many fires in the fireplace as we had firewood for. I've always loved fires, I think they are beautiful! We talked for hours, enjoying the amount of time we had together. We played Magic the Gathering, which for some may seem odd but for Tyson and I it is special and is played during all special occasions. We made all our favorite meals, cooking together and enjoying steaks, and gnocchis I love my husband so much and I am so glad to have spent 3 years married to him, and I know that the next years will be even better.

Then, it was time for another wedding, we drove to Utah this time to celebrate Adriann and Dustin's marriage.

Then, at the end of the month, it was time for Vans Warped Tour. This was the third time I'd been to Warped Tour and it is something that is extremely special to me. The first time I went Tyson and I were dating and it was the most perfect day ever, it was the day that I 100% decided that I was going to marry Tyson, after that day I knew that every epic day I ever again experienced needed to be with him.
So, this year we went and as always it was an amazing day. We saw some great bands including: Allstar Weekend, Motion City Soundtrack, Forever the Sickest Kids, Ice Nine Kills, Black Veil Brides, Tonight Alive, I See Stars, Bring Me The Horizon, and Never Shout Never. It was SO exhausting but super fun and super worth it!

May

The first thing I will mention quickly about May is that it is bike to work month. I personally have never participated, my work is pretty much all uphill and I am just not tough enough to do it. However, my wonderful husband bikes almost all year long and he LOVES bike to work month. It is a time he can encourage others to get out and join him in what he loves. He saves so much money for us by biking and I am so appreciative to him that he has something that he loves and is efficient for our family.

Next, is that my girl Charley Brooke (http://mcquote.blogspot.com/ you can see her blog here) got married.

I've known Charley for almost 20 years now, she is practically my little sister and it was crazy for me to watch her get married. I love her so much and it is so hard to trust anyone with her heart, but she is a big girl and crazy in love so it was time for her and her boy Ryan to tie the knot.

Congrats CHARLEY AND RYAN!!!

Those are some pictures of them right after the wedding, Tyson and I had the pleasure of being their ride back to town and they were so cute that I had to take some pictures... so here they are some of the unseen photos taken by me mere hours after they were wed.   Isn't her smile gorgeous???

Summer Time

Summer, time for romance, time outside, lemonade, and for me apparently not blogging. I am super incredibly behind, but I am going to catch up, at least a little on the important stuff. So... coming at you, one blog for each month of this summer. Hope you enjoy! -Brie

Its been a long time.

Well, I honestly don't know if anyone cares if I post or not but I over and over make goals to post more regardless and it always seems to fail.
Over the last few months I haven't really wanted to write things that others could read, although I have kept up my journals as much as ever the year so far was so hard and it wasn't anything I wanted to share.
Tyson and I had both our cars completely die within two weeks of one another, we've fought with insurance companies over my wisdom teeth removal that happens last August, and of course we still we're having problems from two years ago when ISU began all the terror that they would for years bring us because as they said to us we "fell through the cracks."
It seemed like every time I over came one thing instantly something else came up without more than a day or two without more stacks of stress. I know that all life has challenges but this was the first time in my own when it was so long without a break where there was joy and a bit of stress free time.
I know that times like this are to help us grow and prepare us for times to come but I am also extremely glad that we have now had a long enough time without heart breaking news that I may be able to go a little while without so much stress and worry that I can prepare for when it strikes again.
I am finally feeling somewhat hopeful again and I feel more confident that next time I will be able to keep up spirits up at least a little bit better.

This week I got a nexus 7 tablet. Tyson found it on some crazy sale that he couldn't pass up and knowing that I constantly complained about the size of my tablet he gave it to me (and I am using it to write this very post... I like its size and keyboard... I never would have dreamt of writing a post on a tablet before but now it doesn't seem so bad). Owning the smaller tablet has finally gotten me away from my laptop for a large majority of my daily use as Tyson has been hoping for years. He has finally moved Me into the changing times. I love my little nexus.
The next few months are going to be busy, lots of things going on that hopefully aren't quite so depressing and hopefully I will be posting a bit more... so for anyone who actually wants to know what is going on in my life your in luck!

Sick Day

In the past two and a half years since we got married, Tyson has learned something about me. I tend to ignore the first symptoms of getting sick and I do this until I get REALLY sick and then it just makes everything worse. So, he has learned to notice little tiny differences about me from when I am 100% and when I am starting to get sick and he is constantly checking me for a fever. This morning I didn't pass the tests... I have a fever and in order to not get worse, I am banished to the bed. Fortunately I had today off anyway (but I really do need to get better because I go back to work for the first time since New Years Ever tomorrow) but the reason is for cleaning, while the entire top level of my house is done, today was going to be basement day... so we will see when I get around to doing my basement, but I guess it will not be today. Wish me luck in getting my house done!

The Fault In Our Stars

Today is the first Sunday of the year, and Fast Sunday of course. I've decided that in my little family, which currently only has two people... should start the Tradition of roast on fast Sunday. I love the smell of the roast coming from the kitchen! The only bad this is that once it starts to smell good it starts making me hungry!
I finished my first book of 2013 today. I started it on the first and just finished it this morning. It is in my goals for the year to read 24 books, not counting Harry Potter which I have to read for another one of my goals... and the first one to add to the count was The Fault in Our stars by John Green

This books was worth a read... though I found it extremely predictable. Maybe others would be surprised, but seeing as I have been doing all I can to think like an author for years I saw almost exactly where it was all going from the first few chapters. It was also a slight bit too gushy for me. All the lovie kissie stuff doesn't appeal to me as much in such realistic settings. Yes, I know that Divergent (my favorite book of the moment) has that strong love plot in there, but the story really is based on more...this story thrived a little to hard on the love story. There are many people I would not recommend this book too because they predictability of it would make it too boring... but there are also many who would love this book... so I suppose I have mixed feelings on it.
So, yeah... that is my book review of the day... up next on my too read list: Dark Companion by Marta Acosta

Happy 2013

Well, here we are, finally in the New Year! I have a lot of goals I hope to accomplish this year and there are a lot of possibilities of things that could go down. Last year quite honestly was a little bit boring for me, and I am determined to not let 2013 be so boring. After all we decide what we do.
In order for me to start off the year on the right foot, I have decided to take a few days off of work and get some deep cleaning done on my house. I work at as a Housekeeper at a hotel and so we've been doing some deep cleaning in the rooms there and it just made me notice all the little things that I really need to find time to clean in this house. And it never hurts to go through things, organize a bit and get rid of things you don't need anymore.
I personally have always had a bit of trouble getting rid of things and letting go. But, I am learning and growing wiser, and I think this time it is going to be a bit easier to let myself get rid of enough to get organized. Wish me luck!
