Oh my word, I love Thanksgiving! Good food and good family, what more could you ask for? I love having Thanksgiving dinner with my family! We just sit down for hours enjoying good food and even after we are all full we sit around the table and chat and enjoy each others company... there is no need to clean up or leave... none of us go watch football or leave for the 6pm start of the black Friday sales... we just enjoy each other until it is time for desert, and it is fabulous!
I go to work today, I volunteered for it to make sure that my boss could get done at a decent time and she can go spend time with her family as well. That is what Thanksgiving should be about! Family, because at least for me that is what I am most thankful for. I have so many blessings but my family is at the top of the list! I love you all!!!!! Happy Thanksgiving!!

Start of November.
Well, to start November... I will end October. We finished off our October movie fest... I love it, unfortunately near the end things got busy and we didn't get as much watched as we wanted to but we did watch:
-Case 39
-The Craft
-Don't Be Afraid of the Dark
-The Devils Backbone
-The Woman in Black
-Corpse Bride
-Buried
-Zombieland
-Saw
-9
-Walking Dead (Yes, that is a TV show, but we watched the entire series as far as they have made and I think it qualifies for Octoberfest)
-House at the End of the Street
-1408
-Secret Window
-Amityville Horror
-Shaun of the Dead
-Sweeney Todd
-Seven
-Red Dragon
-The Shining
-Paranormal Activity
-Paranormal Activity 2
-Paranormal Activity 3
So while it wasn't as many as we would have liked we still got some movies watched an perhaps we will do better next year... only time will tell.
Now it is November, and things seem to be moving quickly. Just a few more weeks till Thanksgiving... and then December, the last month of the year will be upon us. However, now it is November now and it is National Writing month. I am determined that no matter how busy I am I am going to get some writing done!!! It is my dream, a dream I have had longer than any other dream I've ever had. I remember writing stories in notebooks in elementary school and even before elementary school I wrapped up little stories I had written for my family and I put them under the tree for my whole family. I've written rough drafts of three novels and even more short stories... but I have a different feeling about this one than any of those... I am studying harder to learn about the true mythological backgrounds as I begin to create my own world. This month is when I plan on really getting going... I have a few chapters written but at the end of the month is will be more than just a few. Wish me luck, I will keep everyone updated!!

Working
Well, there has been a lot of working in our house... I would really like to blog more, firstly in case anyone still reads it, and secondly as a companion to my journal... but it always seems to get overlook... hopefully I will work on that a bit.
Tyson and mine's life has gone a little crazy. This summer we learned that there was black mold inside of our basement wall, and my brother AKA our landlord had to tear out the entire bottom half of the wall. The past week and a half our basement has been a construction site and it is super odd for us because that is normally where we spend most our time... so we are being thrown off somewhat.
The past few weeks before this week I've been putting in almost 40 hours at work... which doesn't seem like that too most of you except that I never planned on being full time. When I took this job I thought I would be working more like 25 to 30 hours... but I suppose that it is helping us save up to get to Disneyland.
I've also been trying to get work done on my recent novel. I've been studying this book by Skye Alexander on mermaids to help me out and I am loving it! Anyone who likes mermaids should totally check out Mermaids The Myths, Legends, & Lore! And hopefully one day you will read my novel too.
Next month is National Writing Month so hopefully I will get a lot of work done, and a lot of blogging too. I'm hoping to also get in some fun practice with writing prompts. I can't wait until the day that I don't go to clean rooms each day but instead I write. Ah... the poor starving artists.
And finally Tyson and I have of course been doing our Octoberfest.... which just means that we watch as many horror/thriller/intense type movies as we can. I've kept track and once it is over I will give you all a list of everything we have watched.... some old some new some I fell in love with and some I will never watch again... okay I will give you that one now... Buried with Ryan Reynolds is a horrible movie and I do not suggest it to anyone!
Well, that's all for now. Hopefully I will get back into blogging soon... if anyone still reads this you should let me know haha.

September Time
August has somehow been over run in my blog. I'm not sure if enough people read my blog that it was even noticed but it happened. The major thing that happened was that I had my wisdom teeth removed. I laid on the couch for a few days just waiting for my mouth to work. I hate the feeling of numb mouth! I always feel so sloppy. I still haven't quite gotten used to the way my mouth works now. I was becoming dependent on those teeth... which is why it was so important for me to get them out but I just hope that I get used to it soon.
Last Saturday I had a lot of fun!!! I went to learn how to make jam from my grandmother. I have always loved her peach jam and I decided that there was no better time than the present to ask her to make some with me and so we spent the afternoon together and she showed me her little tricks and secrets to making good jam.
I've been doing a lot of research for this new book I'm working on writing. Each day I decide a little bit more and I give a new character life. I'm feeling really good about this one! So hopefully I will have a lot of luck.
So, nothing too interesting but that is what is going on in my life... the life of an aspiring writer living life day to day and trying to learn as I go.

July
Wow.... I am behind. July was super crazy! I work at a hotel so with it being summer a lot more people are staying in the hotel and we are understaffed to handle it, so I've ended up working a bit more than I actually intended on.
We had a great fourth of July. We just did our own little fireworks show and we ate watermelon and corn on the cob.
On July 20th we left on my 10th trip to the Oregon coast. YAY for my 10th time. This time was a little different though because we went with the Young side of the family and I had never been on vacation with them before. There were 10 of us on this trip and that is also way more people than I have ever been on vacation with before so that was a good experience for me.
We stayed in Waldport in a big house with the most beautiful fireplace I've ever seen in my entire life. Okay so I might be easily impressed but I thought it was super cool!!
See, is't that rather awesome?
On Monday (which was probably my favorite day of the trip) we drove down to just south of Yachats (which is probably my favorite city) and we went to some tide pools. I had never really wandered around and just looked at tide pools like that so I really enjoyed it. We even found a starfish out of the water far enough that we could touch it. I've touched a starfish before but never in the wild.
Then later that day Tyson and I went to my favorite restaurant ever! It is a little place called The Drift Inn and the food is so fabulous that I can't even stand it! I crave it so often. I love their fish and chips, and Tyson had a lovely looking halibut burger. But the most incredible thing on the menu is the marionberry cobbler with homemade ice cream. Oh my word it is the most fabulous thing I have ever tasted!!!
Then later that day we all drove up to Newport and walked around the docks. We got some taffy, I love saltwater taffy from the coast!
On Wednesday we went to my favorite store, Manoosh... haha it is run by a lady named Manoosh and is is so funny. I buy a very large percent of my accessories there and she is so nice to me! She knows how to run her business! And she has a website that you can order things and she will make them and you can go pick them up (she won't ship them out because she has to see how things look on you before she sells them too you. I'm hoping that next year we can design a hat for Tyson.
We also found this adorable little used book store and we got a little too interested in a conversation with the owner of the bookstore. We found a wonderful set of JRR Tolkiens Lord Of The Rings for a great price.
Thursday we went to another place I had never been before the theme park the Enchanted Forest.
Over all we had a really nice trip and I can't wait for our next trip back to Oregon!!!
Now since back we have gone back to work and both been working like crazy. Not a whole lot going on but I will be better at blogging and keeping up to date!

Super Epic Lego Time!!
Build With Legos, of course that made the list of things to do this summer, and while we have done it many times I decided not to count it until super epic lego time. Now, for our anniversary Tyson and I decided to have super epic lego time. So, we saved up, and had a little help from my Mom as our anniversary gift and we ended up with these legos for super epic lego time. Oh my word it was so much fun! We really enjoyed it and I look forward to rebuilding these sets over and over again for a very long time!
All Around the Fire
Here I am... sitting by the campfire.... roasting... an Easter Peep. Yes, I am roasting a peep. Now, I had never done this before but Tyson INSISTED that this was the only way I would ever get him to eat a peep.So I decided that I must try it if he felt so strongly about it. Goodness sake it was good! I will still eat them plain too but I like peeps much better than normal marshmallows. One of the really nice things about roasting a peep was that the outside hardened and made it a lot less messy to eat!!
I had never before roasted a Starburst, but I had heard wonderful things about doing so. So, with my summer fun I figured I might as well try this... and just as roasting peeps was awesome... so was this! Everything about a roasted starburst was fabulous! Even my Grandmother loved it! This will be happening around every campfire I ever have from now on!
And last but not least, I did make a smores. I'm not huge on them, I've never been as obsessed with them as many but for traditions sake I always do it once a summer. This time I decided that I would use one of the peeps instead of a marshmallow. Lol, it tasted very similar but it made me laugh hard to see the ears sticking out of my smore... poor little bunny. Haha.
Old Faithful
Okay, so it was also on this list of summer things to see old faithful. I have seen the awesome, famous, geyser many times in my life, but I didn't have the opportunity to see it last summer and I decided that wouldn't be okay for this summer! So, while on our trip into Yellowstone National park we drove over to the many seen thing and lucked out! We walked up just as it went off and we had a great view without any of the wait.
We also ended up going and seeing a pretty little waterfall that I hadn't ever seen before. It isn't very often that we find something so close to the path that I've driven so many times that I've never seen. I was very excited to stop and look at this beautiful site.
My silly mother HATES taking pictures, but I insisted that she sit on this bench and take a picture with me... so here it is. I figured since I insisted on it I clearly should put it up for anyone and everyone to see!
Oh, and lastly another geyser that we found on out little trip in to the park. This one goes pretty much constantly! It was really pretty! I love seeing nature and all the things God created!
Tinfoil Dinner
When I was younger and went to girls camp every summer, we frequently made tinfoil dinners, and I decided that this was something that I needed to do this summer, so it became number 35 on my list of things to try to do this summer. Last weekend, we did just this, but a little different than I had always done before. Usually I had done it with hamburger but this time we went with chicken.
Our meal turned out so well! I really enjoyed it! We had some really great potatoes, and some bacon. (Tyson is somewhat bacon obsessed.) But it was really good! I am glad we branched out and tried chicken!

Throwing Away the Flip Flops
Okay, so I should start this post off with a little bit of a catch up... last weekend I did indeed get something off my summer list!!! I played the card game war (#95) and it was actually really fun! We played several rounds, and it went a lot faster than I remember as a kid... when I was little is seemed to take SOOOO long but it didn't feel nearly as long any more. Getting older does weird things doesn't it.
Anyway... onto the flip flops. Now this isn't meant to offend anyone this is just me personally and I'm sorry to the many who I know love them but I HATE FLIP FLOPS!!! A part of me never really like them, but then I went off to BYU-I where I didn't have to deal with them... people put on shoes that actually looked good with their outfits and I didn't have to listen to the smack smack smack all the time. I didn't have to see people tripping over them (I myself trip over them all the time if I wear them, they are the hardest things to walk in! I would be better off wearing 4 inch heels all day). So, I only own one pair of the things, and I bought those last year for the beach... meaning them to be strictly for the beach. Then sadly if I was leaving in a hurry and didn't have time sometimes they would end up on my feet and I would end up face planting into the car door (yes this really happened). So, I have sandals for this summer, real sandals that are super cute, and I also have ballet flats to slip on when I need to hurry and run out the door... I finally have no need for these dreaded flip flops and I finally get to throw them out!!! Yay for my own sake of never having to wear flip flops again!!!

Summer list 96
Well, any of you who frequent my blog know that I have a long list of things to do this summer. It is a fabulous list and when I made it I had no clue how busy this summer would be! However busy I have been I have been attempting to slowly tick things off. Today I did number 96 aka Have Cereal for dinner. I actually really love cereal! The cereal I chose was Apple Cinnamon Cheerios. They were delicious.
Other than work work work not a whole lot has been going on here in our lives, but there are awesome things to come! I thank anyone who read this!! Loves!!!

Behind
Okay, okay... I have fallen a bit behind now haven't I. Summer has simply flung itself at me, things have been CRAZY at work! A lot of things that aren't quite normal have been going on so I have pretty much been working full time hours, which isn't what I am used to, and it will go back to more normal soon but it has delayed me a little on my list of summer. It hasn't delayed me 100% though, I have gotten three things done:
#3 Go to the zoo #15 go on a picnic: Last Saturday while my friend Annie, and her son Chris were here we all took a trip to Idaho Falls and we headed over to tautphaus park. We stopped off at a little picnic table where we ate these awesome healthier than normal lunchables. They were actually really good. It was a tiny bit windy but other than that it was a great little picnic. Then we headed over to the zoo... sadly my favorite thing is always the same.... LLAMAS. Yes, I love going to the children s part and petting the llamas. I also rather enjoyed the lions. There was this really pretty lioness in and she looked like she was straight out of the lion king!
#69 Treat yourself day: After the zoo we went over to the mall and we "treated ourselves" to a whole bundle of new socks, books, and bath and body works products. We had been saving up to do this for quite some time and so it felt super nice to finally be able to go to the mall and enjoy!
So, that is pretty much what has been going on, hopefully soon I have time to plan a bit more.

Lack of Soda = Lack of Energy
As most people reading this blog know, I have a list of things to do before I die. I wrote this list when I was 16 years old... and I was stupid. Now, it isn't that I was any stupider than the average 16 year old but as I jotted down these things I thought I should try to do I never thought about the consequences of when I one day actually tried to do them. One of the things on this list is: Go a Year without Soda.
I am a soda addict, I think it is fabulous, my beverage of choice... Mt Dew yes the green almost toxic substance is my best friend, and I haven't had it in almost four months as I attempt this soda free year.
But you see, I wasn't thinking about the effects of this at the time, and for those of you who don't know them here are the most common side effects of caffeine withdrawal (list from energyfiend.com):

Top 10 Caffeine Withdrawal Symptoms
- Headache- A caffeine headache usually starts behind the eyes and then moves up the front of the head.
- Sleepiness- This just isn’t your normal tiredness, this is sitting up straight but still can’t keep your eyes open tiredness.
- Irritability- Everyone and everything gets on your last nerve. It’s best just to lock yourself in your room during this stage.
- Lethargy- Forget about productivity at this stage because you’ll be unmotivated to do anything.
- Constipation- Caffeine stimulates the bowel, so without its daily does the colon gets a little cranky too.
- Depression- Caffeine withdrawal can take away all hope for living. Temporary blues are one thing, but if you already struggle with depression this could be a big issue.
- Muscle Pain/Stiffness- If you normally have some caffeine prior to exercise then during caffeine withdrawal you could feel as though your muscles have weights strapped to them.
- Lack of Concentration- Forget school, studying, brain surgery, or jet engine repair during this stage of withdrawal.
- Flu-like symptoms- Stuffy nose, blocked sinuses and even vomiting have been reported by people withdrawing from caffeine.
- Insomnia- Some people are strange and actually can’t sleep when going through caffeine withdrawal.
Wow right? I am currently suffering from 8 of these symptoms... o\h yeah one (aka the flu-like symptoms) I hadn't even realized was being caused by this. I have been trying to figure out my stuffy nose and blocked sinuses for a long time I'm not actually sick but I can't get rid of those symptoms... today I finally found out why.
I about six weeks ago started a new job, this job involves lots of physical labor and by the time I come home I don't have the energy even to do the dishes. I can't seem to find it in me to do anything, and if I do do something the headache presses in on me. Many of these other symptoms are also a huge burden.
Now, my very dedicated husband has decided that if I'm not having soda, well neither is he but that means he is also suffering from these symptoms... the lack of coke zero has gotten too him as well. Get us both in a room together and we are two blobs of unmotivated snappy people who can't seem to accomplish anything... and I hate it.
I'm hoping to have a summer full of activities, I want to go camping and play and many other things on this list I have (the list will be posted next week) but I'm not sure if I will actually have the energy to do any of these things without the Mt. Dew.
It is a horrible thing, being so craving of something, but it is something I broke in myself long long ago! The only question is should I amend my list and have my soda fix and be happy and energetic... or work through this lack of energy for another 8 months....

Blobs of everything.
Wow, things have been so crazy lately! At this new job I've started to work a lot more hours, which is great because it means that a little more play money, which as well all know I feel is VERY important. I am 23 years old, I can do anything... and in a few years I will probably have a child, and while there will still be LOADS of fun going on it won't be quite the same, everything will change. So I believe that I need to have as much fun now as possible. But, it does make for busy because with more work hours that means that when I'm not at work, I must be out playing...
Now, as most people know, Tyson and I moved a few weeks ago. It has been a really great move and it was for sure for the best, but because of the way things have happened, we aren't even finished unpacking yet. Yeah, I'm serious... we hate it. So, I have a few days off now and hopefully I will be able to get some very needed unpacking done!
Last weekend was a very exciting weekend! We had a lot of Fun! We stayed the night in a hotel Friday night because Jeff and Kati (Tyson's parents) were awesome enough to give us some extra tickets to General Conference. Attending a live session was number 10 on my list of things to do before I die so I awesomely got that off my list and oh my gosh conference was awesome! As terrible as it is to say being their for that session really made it easier for me to really get into the rest of the sessions this conference because I could go back to that moment to relive it. I am so glad that i got to go!
Then came lunch and shopping at the Gateway. We met up with one of my best friends, Annie (Aka Adriann). We enjoyed lunch and shopping with her! She lives in Utah so I don't get to see her nearly as much but so far in 2012 we have managed to see each other once a month so hopefully that will continue.
While shopping, I got a Barnes and Noble card. This is still weird for me... Borders has been gone for months, and this was not the first time I have made a purchase and B&N since then... but purchasing a card showing my loyalty to them... whom I used to call "The Green Dragon" and mock them for how disorganized their shelves were (which I still think they could use some organization) and now I find myself loyal to them because it is still better than buying books off amazon. What a day.
And to finish off the last day of March, Tyson and I saw a concert, the concert was of a band called FUN. Yes, the bands name is FUN... and they are amazing! It actually hit #2 for best live concerts I have seen. (#1 being held by the first time I saw my favorite band Red Jumpsuit Apparatus on my 21st birthday, but it was amazing and that one will be pretty hard to top!) I love concerts and hope to get to go to a few more this year! Fun was fabulous and it an amazing day.
I'm making it a goal to blog more in April so hopefully to the few of you reading you will get more to read! Much love! -Brie

St. Patrick's Day
Hooray Horray for St. Patty's day. Okay so that was really cheesy but I LOVE HOLIDAYS!!!
Today, since I don't know a whole lot of ways to celebrate the Irish it was a lot about green and luck. For breakfast we ate lucky charms in green milk, we had corned beef and cabbage for dinner (and it was fabulous), and now for desert we are having green rice crispy treats.
We did leave the house today to go to the salon, that didn't have anything to do with the holiday but I do rather enjoy getting my eyebrows waxed. It is relaxing, it only comes every six weeks but when it is time to get my eyebrows done I love it. And, today as I was leaving I decided while scheduling my next eyebrow appointment I would also schedule a facial. I've never had one before and I have just decided that it was about time for it to happen. So six weeks from now I will enjoy myself a facial along with my eyebrow wax.
I've finally adjusted to the hours of my new job somewhat, so that is settling down but it is time to start preparing to move. I have moved a total of six times in my life and out of these times very few of them actually involved things such a furniture and more than just a single bedroom, so I'm still feel very un-organized with the moving thing which bothers me because I like EVERYTHING to be organized. The last move almost drove me crazy because it was so unorganized and so I clearly must make it smoother this time. And I am going to start working on that concept.... tomorrow so wish me luck.
I think that is about all for now, thanks to everyone who actually reads this! Luvs!

March
March always seems to be a month of change. Changing seasons, or at least we always hope. I'm always ready for spring by March, ready to get out of the house and see some sunshine. Not just because of seasons, but March always seem to change in other reasons as well. This year is going to be no exception to that rule.
The first big change to come, is my job. I finally did what I have dreamed of doing for so long and I quit my job at Payless Shoes. It really just wasn't my style job. It was hard for me to do retail other than a bookstore. The bookstore was such a perfect job to me that being in a similar field but having the job be so different was hard on me. So now, starting on Thursday I'm going to try being a housekeeper for a while. The hours are better for me and hopefully it will help me not despise going to work anymore.
Also, it looks like Tyson and I are going to be moving. We like this house, but, it is just too small for our needs. And no, this does not mean I'm pregnant it means that Tyson and I have a lot of stuff... we need room to work out oh and our current house doesn't have room for a kitchen table, we would really like to have a separate place to eat. We also have decided to move because we don't like sharing a wall with neighbors, we don't like hearing everything they do. When they wake up, when the baby doesn't want to eat lunch, all of this is stuff I don't need to hear. So, later this month we will be doing the moving process which hopefully I will be more prepared for. Last time we moved I didn't handle it very well so I'm hoping that this time I will be able to be more organized and awesome about it.
So, March should be an interesting month for me and I hope that it is for all of you too!!!

Week of Love: Day Seven
I've already done family, but today I'd like to be a little more specific! I love my Mom! My Mom goes out of her way for others so often, and I know she would do anything in her power for me! Throughout her life she has done some pretty crazy things for me and I love her soooo much for it. Because of her I've had opportunities that I NEVER would have had otherwise. Thank you Mom!!! I love you!!!

Week of Love: Day Six
We are getting so close to Valentines day now, the week of love is almost over, but we all need to love each other all the time. Today, my blog is about someone who was amazing and loving all, Christ. Without Christ and his love, I wouldn't be able to have or do any of the things that I can do. He has given me the hope that I need to go on, knowing that I can repent of the mistakes I have made. If I couldn't repent, I'm not sure what would keep me going through each and every day. I am so thankful for, and love Christ for all the he has done not just for me but for all of us.

Week of Love: Day Five
Family
I love my family! I have the type of family that is real, the type of family that will help you out when you are in trouble! My family is always there for me! My parents and three brothers are awesome people! Any time that I have ever needed help they have been there!
I'm also blessed enough to have married into a pretty awesome family as well. Most people don't get two families who are there to help out, but I somehow did. Between all of my family I think that there is someone who knows how to do pretty much anything I could ever need done!
So, I love my family so much and am so thankful for them everyday! Thank you family! Love you!!

Week of Love: Day Four
Today, for love week, I need to recognize friends. Now, is where we start to get a bit more personal.
I always had a lot of friends growing up, I was close with many and being young I honestly believed that they would always be there. For many years, they were, I kept so many of my friends for so long and it wasn't until the past few years when my life really started to change and I went though some hard times and it was during these hard times where some of my long time friends were lost.
Thankfully not all of my friends were lost, some of them stuck with me through all of these hard times and are still my close friends. I love all of my friends who have stuck with me through all my hard times. They are truly amazing! I now know who my real friends are and who I can count on to be there for me no matter. What! I love you guys!!

Week of Love: Day Three
Love love love. Today I want to talk about how I love..... pets. I think that pets are a wonderful thing, they make you smile, release stress, and occasionally are a pain. But for the most part pets are worth everything you go through!
This is my AMAZING cat Jack. He is adorable! Now, unfortunately my beautiful cat doesn't live with me right now. But as often as possible I go see him and he loves me. Anytime I walk into my parents house he comes to see me and he purrs as I pick him up. He rubs his head on my hands oh so adorably like only a cat can do. He makes me so happy, I love him!
Then, living with me I have thee two cutest hamsters in the world! Their names are Chuck and Lemony, named after authors of course. These little hamsters live at the end of our hall and they are priceless. They like the sound of my voice, every time I talk to them they come out and see me. I have never seen another hamster like these two. I love them!!
Appreciating everyone you love doesn't have to be strictly human, remember to be kind an loving to ALL living things. I love my animals and will always treat them as so!!!!

Week of Love: Day Two
Today, I want to talk about access to information. I love how easy it is to find out almost anything. Most people don't have perfect memories, and so they can't remember everything that they have been taught but the internet provides us with instant ways to find out certain things. Now, the drawback of course is that anyone can put anything on the internet so not all of it is true, but if you learn to use reliable sources and stay away from bad things the internet can truly be a blessing. Many things can be used for evil, but if we use them properly they are amazing. And for me the internet is largely used for keeping in touch with others, and I love it. So today my love is for the internet and for sharing my thoughts with others. Thank you to anyone who reads this blog, luvs!!!

Week of Love: Day One
Tuesday February 7th, one week until Valentines day, and for me that means the start of the week of love. Love is a wonderful thing, and though some say Valentines is just a way to make money, I feel that we should recognize how amazing of a thing love is. Now I'm not talking strictly about romance, though that is an amazing type of love there are many types of love!
Today I would like to talk about my love of: Travel. Traveling is an amazing event, seeing other places other things, it is truly breathtaking. To look at all of Gods creations, seeing different things... no where is exactly the same. Even driving just 50 miles so much of the scenery can change, and I especially love traveling to the ocean. The ocean is something of such power, it controls so much and we can't control it. It can be so devastating and yet it is a lifeline for us. It is something to see that is unlike anything else! Water is so beautiful, and the ocean is so unpredictable and astonishing. So I love travel and hope to do it a LOT more in my lifetime.
Keep love in your hearts and acknowledge all of the amazing things and people whom have changed your life with love!

February.
February has come, January has gone, and at least for the time being the weather in South Eastern Idaho has been very nice. For the most part I LOVE this, but it also kind of scares me because I don't want it to start being Winter and have Winter run late.
This weekend I have my good friend Annie and her son Chris in town, so we took advantage of the weather and decided to go out slack lining.
I'm very excited for it to be the month of love, okay well I like to call it that because of Valentines day. A lot of people say that Valentines day is a waste of money and silly... I however think that any reason to celebrate is a good reason to celebrate and be happy. Why not enjoy the little things that you can?
As most of us know, besides the month of love it is also Black History Month. Sometimes I forget how recent it was that schools were separated and that black people were so mistreated. I recently watch The Help and that was set in the past 100 years, it is insane to me! Treating people differently because of the color of their skin... and it is still happening, people are still facing hate crimes and other obstacles. So, during the month of February make sure not only to spread the love but to remember how many amazing accomplishments have been brought about by the Blacks in our history.

New Workout
Well, as are many people I am on the seemingly never ending quest to get in shape. Over this weekend I wasn't home much, I was watching my brothers puppies and staying at his house... this however encouraged some cheating on my eating. So, this week I have some catch up to do and I figured what better time to start a new workout.
So, I began a Pilates workout program designed by Jillian Michaels and the first phase is called "couch potato" and well... lets be honest I couldn't finish it. I am less than a couch potato... I think this means I have some serious work to do!!!! It's supposed to be 8 weeks, but it seems it might take me a little longer. But I swear on all that I WILL finish this workout and be able to do it all. No matter how long it takes I will be able to do this!
I figure doing most of a workout is better than doing nothing and I will slowly but surely work my way up to doing it all!
"Sometimes courage is the little voice at the end of the day that says: 'I will try again tomorrow'"
So, everyone keep working on what your doing!!!!!

Friday the 13th
Wow, it is Friday January 13th. I've never been superstitious about this day, I've had some amazing Friday the 13th's... though I do somewhat hope I didn't just jinx myself.
Well, I haven't blogged in about 2 months now, which is a really long time for that, I decided I would blog more in 2012, which I still hope to do... but to be honest it has been rather boring so far!
Life has settled down from the holidays, getting back to what I suppose is "normal" for TysoIn and I. He goes to work, I clean and then go to work. We don't go anywere because we don't want to spend money going somewhere and it's too cold to be outside... which oddly enough is where I want to be.
I've never really been much of an outdoorsy girl but now as I'm growing older there are so many things I'd like to do. I want to go out and try Tyson's Christmas gift... he got a slackline and I'm excited to try to get good at it. I For some reason also would really like to go on a bike ride. This summer I'm also hoping to do a few hikes and perhaps even go camping... yes camping would be awesome right now. Ah yes, how it's the weird things about people that change. I got a tablet for Christmas, which is a part of the reason I haven't blogged in a while. I'm still trying to figure this thing out. For some things I LOVE LOVE LOVE it! It is fabulous for playing games, and it makes some things much faster. Also it plays Netflix which for some reason my laptop can't handle. So, for a lot of reasons it is wonderful. But anything that requires typing is still a bit iffy. Typing on the tablet itself is slow, I do have a keyboard but it takes a while to hookup so unless I plan on typing a lot it isn't worth it. I have it hooked up now, but it is still a tiny bit odd! Sometimes things like my enter won't work, and keys like to stick. If I shift often times four letters after I Shift are capitols or the letter "r" especially likes to stick and I will type one and get twelve. So, the tablet and I are still learning. It is a very love hate relationship between me and it right now. Most of the time I love it but when it does make me mad it is very annoying! I tend to have that type of relationship with most electronics. When they work they are wonderful wonderful things, but when they aren't working (which for me seems to be a lot) then they are extremely annoying! I've been working on my new years goals, yes the infamous new years goals... but I think I'm really going to do well this year. One of those goals is to not drink any soda, and so far I'm on track with that. I was drinking way too much of it last year so I figure it would be best just to cut it out for a while. Plus it is number 48 on my list of things to do before I die. It is also helping out with one of my other goals for the year. The most cliche thing I could put on, to lose weight. This seems to be so many people's goals a lot, but I'm very serious about it this time. I really need to be healthier to help ensure that I prevent any preventable heath problems. I may not be able to control all things that may occur, and one day I might get very sick anyway but so many illnesses these days are brought on by things we do to ourselves. So, a healthier diet with less suger and more veggies are in place and a workout routine is coming in to play as well. Last night for dinner was a low-calorie pizza with a tortilla for a crust, and it was totally veggies. It was really filling, and honestly tasted better than I had expected. Another one of my favorite meals this year has been Spaghetti Squash Lasagna, where you pretty much make lasagna but instead of noodles, you use spaghetti squash and oh my it is very good! Well, I have to get ready for work now, so I suppose that is all for today but I am planning on blogging more this year so if you're interested keep your eye out and if you find my life a bit boring then that is okay too!! Haha, much loves!!!
